Renovation and extension of Sopron University Building C

Summary

The contract covers the comprehensive renovation, extension and reconstruction of Sopron University’s Building C at Bajcsy-Zsilinszky utca 4 in Sopron. The works include adding a new timber-structured floor, making the building accessible, renovating the façade and roof, and installing heating, cooling, ventilation, water, drainage and electrical systems. The project also includes, among other works, lifts and ventilation equipment; optional tasks cover basement fittings, furniture and laboratory furniture. The works comprise 2,548.53 m² of net floor area and must be completed within 510 calendar days of the contract taking effect. The procurement has one lot, and bids must be submitted electronically by 14:00 Central European Time on 29 October 2026. A HUF 10,000,000 tender guarantee is required. Bidders must demonstrate registration for construction activities, at least HUF 2,000,000,000 in relevant revenue, the specified comparable construction experience and qualified construction managers in three disciplines. Bids are evaluated on the best price-quality ratio: price carries 70 points, while quality assessment includes experience with CLT timber structures and additional specialist experience. The successful bidder must provide a warranty of at least 60 months and maintain the required insurance throughout contract performance.
