Improved Data Collection, Monitoring and Revenue Base for Water Resource Management in Kenya

Summary

The tender concerns development of WRIMS, an integrated information-management environment for Kenya’s water-resource management, to improve data collection, monitoring and the revenue base. The assignment is financed by Danish development assistance and aims to integrate existing IT solutions into WRIMS to support data governance, permitting, metering, billing and enforcement, across the water sector. The work is organized into three phases: Phase I – detailed verification, system analysis and preparation; Phase II – Kenyan-led option assessment and decision; Phase III – design, build, test, rollout and stabilized operation. The estimated contract value is 15,000,000 DKK, with an approximate duration of 3 years. The procedure requires ESPD and online tendering and adheres to anti-corruption principles appropriate to the Danida framework.
