Security services and technical support for DRABL facilities, 2026–2029

Summary

The contract covers 36 months of security services and technical support and maintenance for security systems at two DRABL sites in Funchal: the Madeira Archives and Library building and the Atlantic History Research Centre. A guard must be present at the Archives and Library security control room every day, 24 hours a day. The work includes responding to alarms and, where necessary, notifying the police; connecting alarms to the security company’s monitoring centre; and maintaining the intrusion detection, fire detection and CCTV systems, including annual inspections and repair or replacement of faulty equipment. At the research centre, the contractor must provide technical support for the intrusion alarm system, carry out an annual inspection and respond to alarms. Within three months of contract signature, the contractor must supply, install and configure one outdoor night-vision pan-tilt camera and two 43-inch-or-larger 4K monitors at the Archives and Library; at the research centre, it must install two CCTV cameras with at least 4 MP resolution and a video recorder with at least 8 channels and an initial 4 TB capacity, capable of recording for 30 days. Equipment must be compatible with the existing system and meet the technical specifications in the tender documents or be equivalent. The maximum budget is EUR 400,000 excluding VAT. Price is the sole award criterion. Tenders must be submitted electronically by 29 October 2026 at 23:59 and remain valid for 90 days. Variant tenders are not permitted, and no tender guarantee is required.
