Development, Construction and Operation of Schenkeldijk Food Park

Summary

The Municipality of Dordrecht is seeking a partner to develop, build, operate and manage the publicly accessible Schenkeldijk Food Park on approximately 4 hectares of former sports grounds, including four football pitches and a clubhouse. The single, undivided assignment includes preparing the vision and designs, obtaining permits, seeking subsidies, completing a participation process, creating a food forest, and providing long-term operation, management and maintenance. The park is intended to combine nature and biodiversity, food production, recreation, education and social participation. The contract includes a 50-year leasehold period, with a possible one-time five-year extension of both agreements.
