Electrification of the Markelo pumping station

Summary

The Netherlands Ministry of Defence’s Defence Pipeline Organisation is procuring the design, supply, construction, installation, connection, testing and commissioning of a new electrically driven pumping station in Markelo for the kerosene pipeline network. The single, unlottted project includes two pumps, modifications to the manifold building, civil and structural works, site and infrastructure works, mechanical and HVAC installations, electrical and instrumentation works, and training for DPO technical staff. The estimated construction value is approximately €11 million excluding VAT; the new electricity intake station and the main process-control system are outside the contractor’s scope.
