Architectural and engineering services for the Gelatine connection

Summary

The procurement is for architectural and engineering services to design and prepare the delivery of Delft’s Gelatine connection. The project covers a movable pedestrian and cycle bridge over the Schie, its approach routes and related infrastructure. The railway underpass is included in the initial sketch-design stage but excluded from the subsequent design stages. The services include sketch and preliminary designs, studies and advice, preparing the construction-team agreement and arranging the construction-team tender, completing the bridge’s final and technical designs, and providing contract management, systems-based contract control and aesthetic supervision during construction. At handover, the consultant must review the technical documentation and support the client with claims, deviations and contract changes. The contract is not divided into lots and variants are not permitted. Work is expected to start on 4 March 2027, with the planned period running until July 2033. The bidder must demonstrate five specified areas of experience through reference projects and provide a suitably multidisciplinary team. Tenders are evaluated on the basis of the best price-quality ratio: collaboration is worth up to 35 points, architectural and landscape vision 40 points, and price 25 points. The tender must be submitted electronically, and its price must cover the complete assignment and all associated costs. During contract performance, social-return measures must account for at least 5% of the contract sum. The tender submission deadline is 18 December 2026 at 12:00.
