Potential of industrial flexibility

Summary

This procurement concerns advisory and analytical services for the Potentie Industriële Flexibiliteit project. The contractor will perform an integrated analysis of industrial energy flexibility in a highly electrified future energy system toward 2035/2040, quantify technical, economic and realistically deployable potential, assess system value (including congestion relief, balancing, reliability, and renewable integration) and develop practical action perspectives and knowledge-sharing plans. The work is structured into four parts: 1) best practices and innovative solutions; 2) analysis of industrial flexibility; 3) action perspectives; 4) impact and knowledge sharing. The contract is planned to run initially for five months for Part 1, with a Go/No-Go decision, followed by a 13-month period for Parts 2–4, plus an option to extend by up to six months, for a total of up to 24 months. The total value is up to €413,223 excluding VAT. Prices for each component must be provided in the bid. The agreement is governed by ARVODI-2025 and the tender documents.
