Design and construction of the new Meergronden school

Summary

The tender covers the design of a new Meergronden secondary school, from preliminary design through construction-ready design, and its construction in Almere. The project comprises approximately 11,500 m² of school and community facilities for 1,400 pupils and approximately 150 staff, including outdoor areas, an underground bicycle parking facility, demolition of the existing gym halls, building and technical installations, and public-space works. This is a restricted procedure, with up to five suitable candidates invited to the tender stage. The works must be ready for use approximately three years after contract award. Quality accounts for 100% of the tender evaluation; the binding tender amount will be set between EUR 25 million and EUR 35 million excluding VAT. During contract performance, 2% of the contract value must be allocated to social return, and a bank guarantee of 5% must be provided before construction starts.
