Provision of peer support services for people living with HIV

Summary

This procurement concerns the provision of peer support services for people living with HIV. The contractor must provide at least one peer navigator coordinator and at least one psychologist, and a team of at least three peer supporters to serve clients. The service includes client identification, needs assessment, development of an individual navigation plan, client support and guidance through the health care system, assistance with appointments and initiation of ART and adherence support, and data entry into the EDUS system, with a final reporting requirement. The work is organized into two phases: a preparation phase (up to 1 month) and an 11-month service delivery phase. Target population includes: A) people with a reactive HIV rapid test requiring confirmatory diagnosis; B) people with confirmed HIV infection who have not started ART; C) people with HIV infection who have lost contact with care or stopped ART; D) people with HIV infection needing additional adherence support. Availability is required on weekdays and, as needed, evenings and weekends. The contract will include monitoring, reporting and a final closing report based on the EDUS data and service delivery results.
