Construction design for the Liminka–Oulu double track on the Kempele–Oulu section

Summary

Väylävirasto is procuring construction design for the Liminka–Oulu double track on the Kempele–Oulu section, based on the railway plan. The work covers track geometry and structural design, geotechnical and drainage design, construction design for 7 bridges and 25 culverts, environmental and electrical design, and the design of a second platform at Kempele station. Options include design during construction in 2028–2032 and comprehensive design of the Ketolanperäntie underpass bridge and surrounding area between chainages 739+750 and 740+700.
