Request for information: removal of wastewater digestate

Summary

This is a request for information to help prepare a procurement for the removal of wastewater digestate from the bio-refinery operated by Metsäsairila Oy. The digestate is an organic soil improver that meets the Finnish Food Authority’s requirements for use as fertiliser. It is unseparated and has a dry matter content of approximately 11.5%. It accumulates continuously, so collection must also be continuous. Collection requires a vacuum truck meeting at least the Euro VI emissions standard. Following an order, the service provider must collect the digestate from the storage tank within one week. The tank, with a capacity of approximately 750 tonnes, is to be emptied in one operation or by another method agreed by the parties. Responsibility for the digestate transfers to the service provider when it is loaded into the vacuum truck. The planned contract period is 1 January to 31 December 2027, with an option to extend by up to 12 months by mutual agreement. Prices are requested in euros per tonne, linked to the road freight cost index and adjusted quarterly.
