Insulated food containers

Summary

Leijona Catering Oy is seeking insulated food containers suitable for transporting and serving food in field conditions. A four-year framework agreement will be concluded with one supplier, under which up to 1,650 containers may be ordered; the buyer is not committed to ordering a fixed quantity. Each container must have a 20-litre capacity, weigh no more than 10 kg, be made of stainless steel, withstand machine washing and be compatible with detergents commonly used in Finland. Its inner surface must be seamless. It must have a latched lid that is watertight when secured, as well as two carrying handles. Containers must be stackable up to two high when full and three high when empty. Food at 85°C must take at least four hours to cool to 60°C, and the outside of the container must not exceed 20°C during the test. Delivery of 400 containers must take no more than three months after a written order, and the minimum order quantity may not exceed 200 containers. The tender documents specify how compliance with the technical requirements must be demonstrated.
