Procurement of a regional bike-sharing system

Summary

The procurement concerns a complete city bike service for the City of Tampere and the Municipality of Pirkkala. The service includes supplying city bikes and station infrastructure, maintenance, relocating bikes between stations, moving bikes and any station infrastructure to storage, off-season storage, an IT system and customer service throughout the contract period. The service must be tested and ready for use when delivered. A four-year framework agreement will be concluded with one supplier. During the framework period, Tampere and Pirkkala may conclude separate contracts for introducing the service under the tender conditions. The authorities aim to launch the service in spring 2028, although the municipalities may start at different times. The tender deadline is 26 October 2026.
