Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer

Summary

The procurement concerns a complete dynamic mechanical analyzer system for the Mikpolis research and development unit of South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences in Mikkeli, Finland. The system will be used to characterize the viscoelastic and mechanical properties of materials, including polymers, polymer composites, elastomers and biomaterials, as functions of temperature, frequency, time, force and deformation. It must support tensile, compression, bending and penetration measurements, dynamic and static testing, controlled heating and cooling, and measurements under a controlled purge-gas atmosphere. Required capabilities include temperature, frequency, combined temperature-frequency, load and time sweeps, as well as creep, stress relaxation and universal testing. The delivery must include the instrument, temperature-control systems, sample holders and accessories, calibration equipment and materials, control and analysis software, the computer equipment required for operation, shipping to Mikkeli, installation, commissioning and user training. The software must be compatible with measurement data from the purchaser’s existing thermal analysis equipment. The budget is EUR 130,000 excluding VAT, and offers exceeding this amount will not be accepted. The tender deadline is 5 October 2026.
