Market survey / Request for information: UPS and supercapacitor equipment

Summary

This is a market survey and request for information, not a contract notice or invitation to tender. Kainuu wellbeing services county is gathering information from potential suppliers for a UPS system combined with a supercapacitor solution for a CT scanner. The solution is preliminarily expected to handle approximately 200–300 kW, limit power for around 7–10 seconds, reduce power peaks during normal operation and recharge between starts occurring approximately every 10–15 minutes. It should offer high availability, continuous operation, compatibility with the existing electrical system, monitoring and remote management, and maintenance and support services in Finland. Suppliers must complete the attached questionnaire and submit it by 20 September 2026; optional additional attachments may also be provided. Commissioning is tentatively planned for the winter or spring of 2027.
