Cork harvesting in the El Tolmo and Venta Iruela forests

Summary

The Municipality of Viso del Marqués is granting the right to harvest cork in the El Tolmo and Venta Iruela public forests, covering approximately 600 hectares. The estimated harvest comprises cork from about 3,300 reproduction-cork oak trees and 400 first-stripping trees, with forecast quantities of 65,000 kg of second-growth or reproduction cork and 6,000 kg of first-stripping cork. The single contract is scheduled for 2027.
