Transport, processing and analysis of biological samples for biomarker testing

Summary

The Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute is procuring a single-lot clinical laboratory service for the logistical coordination, transport, receipt, processing and analysis of biological samples to determine biomarkers. The service covers collection of 3,912 serum samples frozen at approximately −80°C; an estimated 2,739 suitable samples will be tested for high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, interleukin 6 and neopterin. It also includes transport and analysis of approximately 500 newly collected blood samples, with a complete blood count, basic serum biochemical profile and the same three biomarkers. The work includes delivery of the results and a complete database, with a contract period of up to 18 months and a possible extension of up to 7 months.
