Project design for hydromorphological restoration of a stretch of the Valborraz River

Summary

The tender covers preparation of a project for hydromorphological restoration of a stretch of the upper Valborraz River in Carballeda de Valdeorras, Ourense province, from the confluence with the Can Longo stream to the confluence with the San Xil River. The assignment includes designing and dimensioning the restoration and producing a project detailed enough to obtain the required administrative reviews, permits and approvals. Deliverables include, at a minimum, physicochemical and hydraulic studies, treatment of the original channel, an alternatives assessment using the MET-R-HMF-2019 methodology, assessment of mining impacts, earthworks and rock protection, crossings and drainage, revegetation, waste management, health and safety documentation, dimensioned drawings, technical specifications, quantities and a budget. The contract runs for five months, with a maximum work period of four months. A mandatory site visit must take place within the first seven calendar days after work begins. Restoration alternatives are due within two weeks thereafter, and the contracting entity will select an option within one week. The full project is due within two months after approval of the selected option; any corrections following review must be delivered within one week. The estimated budget is €115,000 excluding VAT and €139,150 including 21% VAT. Bids are evaluated on price (48 points) and the additional experience of the two project drafters (up to 52 points total). The bid deadline is 19 October 2026 at 12:00. Bidders must satisfy the financial and technical capacity requirements and provide two appropriately qualified and experienced specialists, the required insurance and the final guarantee.
