Special Christmas lighting for the Hortaleza District, 2026–2027

Summary

The contract covers the supply, installation, daily switching on and off, maintenance, dismantling and removal of Christmas decorative lighting in public streets, squares and other areas of Madrid’s Hortaleza District for the 2026–2027 holiday season. The planned installation comprises 118 illuminated trees, 6 light arches and one 12-metre Christmas tree. The contractor must also provide a Christmas-decorated control stand for the official lighting ceremony. Designs must be proposed for each location and approved by the District before installation. Decorations must be multicoloured and use LED technology, preferably. The service includes all necessary materials, electrical connections, permits and electrical installation certificates, maintenance and repairs, and restoring any surfaces damaged during installation or removal. The contract runs from 6 November 2026, or the later signature date, until 20 January 2027. The lighting period ends at midnight on 7 January 2027; dismantling begins the following day and must be completed by 20 January. Operating hours may be 18:00–24:00 on working days and 18:00–06:30 the following day on weekends and public holidays, according to the schedule set by the City. The estimated value is EUR 59,761.62 excluding VAT; the maximum tender budget is EUR 72,311.56 including 21% VAT. Payment is made once, after acceptance of the complete work. The tender price scores up to 20 points. Optional improvements score up to 80 points: installing a minimum 4-metre-high LED-lit pyramid for the full contract period (20 points), and a minimum 10-metre-high, four-sided Christmas tree with multicoloured LED lighting and an approximately one-metre illuminated star on top (60 points). To participate, bidders must submit the required responsible declaration and offer in a single electronic envelope and meet the registration, tax, social-security and insurance conditions.
