Meal service for La Selveta municipal nursery

Summary

The contract covers meal services for the La Selveta municipal nursery in Alcañiz. The contractor will prepare food in its own compliant kitchen, portion it individually each day, transport it hot to the nursery and place it there ready to serve. The service is required on approximately 200 school days, with an estimated 15–35 meals per day. The contract runs from 1 November 2026 to 15 July 2027 and may be extended to cover up to two school years in total. Menus must be suitable for the children’s ages and include appropriate food textures and, where justified, special diets for needs such as allergies, diabetes or gluten intolerance; special meals must cost the same as standard meals. Food must be prepared and transported in compliance with food-safety requirements. Meals must be delivered in single-use, non-reusable containers, and at least 20% of products must be local and seasonal. Bidders must provide technical information about menus, food safety, kitchens, transport and staff, and demonstrate the required insurance and food-handler qualifications. The maximum unit price is EUR 6 per meal excluding VAT; the estimated value is EUR 41,580 excluding VAT, or EUR 83,160 including the possible extension. Price is the sole award criterion.
