Design, supervision and safety coordination for improvements to the Picordia area

Summary

Ports de la Generalitat is procuring technical design assistance, construction supervision, and health and safety coordination for improvements to the Picordia area in Arenys de Mar. The aims include reorganising parking and improving pedestrian connections, creating tree-shaded climate refuge areas, defining a cycle lane, and providing children’s play and recreation areas and sports spaces. The work has three stages: preparing a BIM Execution Plan and preliminary design, including alternatives, site data and estimated costs; developing a BIM model and detailed construction project for the selected solution, with the necessary calculations, drawings, specifications and budget; and, if construction proceeds, providing technical and financial supervision and coordinating health and safety. The third stage will be carried out and paid for only if the construction works are awarded. Supervision duties include at least weekly site visits, weekly visit reports and responses to general technical queries within less than four hours. The contract lasts up to two years; the preliminary design is due within 6 weeks and the construction project within 10 weeks. The estimated value is €63,701.26 excluding VAT, and the budget including VAT is €77,078.52. Bidders must demonstrate annual turnover of at least €47,775.95 and the specified previous experience in civil-engineering projects and supervision. The delivery team must include appropriately qualified and experienced project leadership, a construction-supervision specialist, a health and safety coordinator and a BIM-capable modeler. Price accounts for 40 award points and quality criteria for 60.
