Timber harvesting in the Los Arrancaos forest area, Arluzea

Summary

The tender grants the right to harvest timber in the Los Arrancaos forest area in Arluzea (MUP 266-5), which is within a protected area. The planned selective thinning covers 3,550 Pyrenean oak, European beech and European aspen trees, with an estimated volume of 1,314.80 m³. Felling and timber extraction must be completed within two years of contract signature and in accordance with the technical conditions. The bid must include the required responsible declaration and financial offer. The minimum price is €12 per m³; lower offers will not be accepted. The sole award criterion is the highest price. At the minimum rate, the estimated total is €15,777.60, with applicable taxes and charges added. The successful bidder must pay 50% of the estimated amount within 20 days of contract signature and the balance, based on the final measurement, within 10 days of signing the final measurement record. The successful bidder must also provide a definitive guarantee equal to 10% of the final offered price, excluding VAT. Bidders must hold civil liability insurance with coverage of at least €300,000 and have completed at least one similar timber-harvesting operation of the required value during the previous three years. They must also provide information about the personnel and machinery available for performance. The contractor must comply with employment and social protection requirements and is responsible for damage caused during the work.
