Supply of plastic containers for the Customs and Excise Department
Summary
The contract covers the supply of sealed plastic containers for collecting and transporting samples to laboratories used by the Customs and Excise Department: up to 6,500 containers with a capacity of 1,000 ml and up to 4,000 with a capacity of 250 ml, with a permitted capacity tolerance of ±10%. The containers must have screw caps with tamper-evident seals. They must be made of high-density polyethylene, be non-toxic with cadmium-free pigments, suitable for food contact, leakproof for liquids, inert, self-sealing and wide-mouthed. The caps must be made of polypropylene, be suitable for food contact, contain no bisphenol or phthalates, be waterproof, and resist corrosion from acids and alkalis as well as high and sudden temperature changes. The minimum external thread diameter is 45 mm for the 250 ml container and 54 mm for the 1,000 ml container. Delivery is to locations specified by the contracting authority; packaging and transport costs are included in the price. Delivery is due within ten weeks of an order. The contract runs for six months from 7 October 2026, or from a later contract-signing date, and may be extended for up to one year. The actual quantity ordered may be below the stated maximum, and payment is based on the quantity actually delivered. The maximum budget is €19,665 excluding VAT, or €23,794.65 including VAT. Maximum unit prices are €2.09 for a 1,000 ml container and €1.52 for a 250 ml container. Price is the only award criterion. The goods are covered by a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects; the supplier bears the cost of collecting and replacing defective items. Bidders must submit the required eligibility declarations, a price offer and product technical data sheets.
