Supply of chestnut-fed pork, Galician protected beef and fresh chicken

Summary

This procurement is divided into three separately awarded lots for supplying meat and poultry products to Paradores de Turismo catering establishments in Galicia and, for Lot 3, Asturias as well. Lot 1 covers chestnut-fed white pork products, including ham, cooked pork shoulder, cured sausages, pork cuts, tenderloin and pork burgers. Lot 2 covers beef and beef burgers bearing the Ternera Gallega protected geographical indication. Lot 3 covers fresh free-range chicken and fresh yellow chicken in a range of cuts. Bidders may tender for one or more lots, but must price every item in each lot they bid for. Supplies are made against orders. Deliveries to establishments in Galicia are due within 2 working days and those in Asturias within 3 working days, counting from the day after the order. The minimum order is €100 excluding VAT; no more than two orders may be placed each week, and partial deliveries are not accepted. The supplier must maintain sufficient stock and ensure compliant product quality, labelling, packaging and cold-chain handling. The estimated annual contract value is €205,877 excluding VAT; the estimated annual values are €96,646 for Lot 1, €89,509 for Lot 2 and €19,722 for Lot 3. The contract runs for one year, with a possible one-year extension. Offers are assessed on price (40 points) and product quality (60 points); quality is evaluated through blind tasting, and a minimum of 50 out of 100 qualitative points is required to proceed. Participation requires evidence of the prescribed turnover and supply experience, together with food-safety, HACCP and product technical documentation. Lot 2 additionally requires proof of authorisation to handle products under the Ternera Gallega protected geographical indication.
