Design and Organization of Local Gastronomy Events in Fuerteventura
Summary
The contract covers the design, development and organization of local gastronomy events in Fuerteventura’s six municipalities, with one approximately four-hour event in each municipality. The events are intended for tourism professionals, local producers and restaurateurs and should showcase the island’s products and food culture. Each event must secure at least 30 attendees and include tastings; talks and workshops must also be arranged if requested by the contracting authority. Events may additionally feature live cooking demonstrations, themed tastings and other experiential activities. The contractor will prepare an initial plan for each event and, once approved, a detailed programme. The contractor will secure and set up suitable venues, arrange technical equipment and staff, invitations and attendance confirmations, transport, permits and event logistics. Short video and photographic materials must also be produced, and local products—preferably products with protected designation of origin or protected geographical indication—must be used. The contract lasts six months, with an anticipated start in October 2026; no extension is planned. The estimated value is EUR 54,992.62 excluding the Canary Islands indirect tax and EUR 58,842.10 including tax at 7%. Bids must be submitted electronically. By the submission deadline, bidders must be registered in the public-sector bidders register or must have applied for registration earlier and provide the required evidence. Economic and technical capacity evidence is waived, but delivery requires at least an event coordinator, sound and lighting technicians, two waiters and two kitchen assistants. Offers are evaluated on price (49 points), participation by a cheese expert (up to 40 points) and, optionally, a promotional gastronomy video (11 points).
