Printing and binding of the book Fuerteventura restaura

Summary

The contract covers the printing, binding and delivery of the illustrated book “Fuerteventura restaura”, about restoration work on sacred movable heritage in Fuerteventura. The order is for 1,000 copies, each comprising 450 pages, in a 26.5 × 22.5 cm format. The interior must be printed in 4/4 colours on 135 gsm natural-toned matte paper meeting the specified opacity and bulk characteristics and carrying FSC, PEFC or equivalent certification. The book must be thread-sewn in a softcover binding using vegetable thread. The cover must use 350 gsm graphic board or matte-coated paper, printed in 4/4 colours, with a matte laminated exterior and wide flaps; it must also carry equivalent sustainable-source certification. The work includes technical checks and production preparation of the print files, submission of a colour proof and a complete physical imposition proof for the buyer’s approval before the print run, printing and binding, quality control, and free replacement of defective copies. The contractor must pack the books, mark each box with the book title and copy count, transport them to the Fuerteventura General Island Archive in Puerto del Rosario, and provide the final production files used for printing. The maximum delivery period is 40 working days from the day after the contract is signed. The contract is not divided into lots. The estimated value excluding tax is EUR 27,097.85; the budget including 7% Canary Islands indirect tax is EUR 28,994.70. Price is worth up to 80 points. Each working day shaved off the delivery period earns 2 points, up to 20 points for a reduction of 10 working days. Bidders must meet the financial and technical capacity requirements and submit their offers electronically. The successful bidder must provide civil liability insurance and a final performance guarantee equal to 5% of the offered price excluding indirect tax.
