Supply, installation and training for an ultracentrifuge with two rotors

Summary

The tender covers the supply, installation and user training for one new laboratory ultracentrifuge for the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute in Badalona. The supply must include a vacuum system, temperature and operating-condition controls, software and two titanium swing-bucket rotors with the necessary accessories and manuals. The centrifuge must reach at least 80,000 rpm and 540,000 × g. The rotors must respectively support at least 30,000 rpm and six tubes of at least 38.5 ml, and 40,000 rpm and six tubes of at least 13 ml. Among other requirements, the equipment must operate across 0–40 °C, achieve a vacuum below 1.5 Pa, detect imbalance with a tolerance of no more than 5 mm, and meet the specified CE, IEC/EN and RoHS requirements. All supplied equipment must be new. The contractor must transport, install and commission the equipment, conduct acceptance testing, and train at least five users. Both theoretical and practical training are required, with at least four hours allocated to each. The bid must include a detailed installation plan and the electrical and space requirements for the installation site. Delivery, installation, commissioning and training must be completed within 12 weeks from the day after contract signature. The minimum warranty is two years and includes annual preventive maintenance, 8 × 5 remote support and specified on-site response times depending on incident severity. Technical assistance and spare parts must remain available for at least ten years after the warranty ends. The estimated contract value and maximum bid price are €120,000 excluding VAT, or €145,200 including VAT. The bid must include a mandatory, unscored technical description and a price offer using the required template. Bidders must demonstrate financial and technical capacity. Price accounts for up to 45 points and improvements for up to 55 points; improvements are scored for a longer warranty, greater rotor life, compatibility with other manufacturers’ rotors or tubes, a shorter delivery schedule and lower imbalance tolerance. Bids must be submitted electronically. The contract is not divided into lots and cannot be extended.
