Collection, transport and certified destruction of confidential documents

Summary

Barcelona is seeking a contractor to collect confidential documents from the city’s security and prevention services, municipal police and fire service locations and transport them to the central archive. The service also covers collecting, transporting and certified destruction of documents after their statutory retention period, as well as renting and supplying secure metal containers. The estimated annual quantities for both 2027 and 2028 are 2,500 document units for collection and 2,500 for destruction. Documents must be destroyed in Catalonia by cross-cut shredding to at least security level P-4 and then sent for recycling. Destruction is normally required within 72 hours of collection, and the destruction certificate must be delivered within one week counted from the day after collection; bidders may offer shorter deadlines. The anticipated contract runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028, with possible extensions of up to two years. The budget ceiling is EUR 23,304.60 including VAT, and the estimated contract value is EUR 44,541.20. Evaluation awards up to 50 points for price, 25 for faster delivery of the destruction certificate, 15 for a low-emission vehicle, and 10 for a written commitment to provide urgent collection within 24 hours.
