Reception and caretaker services for the Island Nautical Sports Centre

Summary

The tender concerns caretaker and reception services at the Island Nautical Sports Centre in Lanzarote. The contractor will control access and use of the facilities, open and close the centre, operate the alarm system, monitor boats and sports equipment, issue and collect sports equipment and changing-room keys, ensure users follow facility rules, and report suspected offences to the security forces. Telephone calls and reception duties may also be required occasionally. The service covers 69 hours per week: Monday to Friday, 9:00–20:00; Saturdays, 8:00–15:00; and Sundays, 9:00–16:00. This is 3,588 hours per year, plus an annual reserve of 80 additional hours. The contractor must provide cover for absences, uniforms, sufficient staff and equipment, and appoint a service contact. The documents state that staff from the existing service are to be taken over. The contract runs for 12 months, from 1 February 2027 to 31 January 2028, with a possible 12-month extension. The estimated contract price is €77,520 excluding IGIC and €82,946.40 including 7% IGIC; the estimated total including the possible extension is €155,040. Payment is made monthly, regardless of whether the reserve hours are used. Price is worth up to 20 points. English proficiency among staff is also scored (up to 2 points if 25% of staff qualify, or up to 4 points if 50% qualify, at levels A1–B2; only the higher qualifying score counts), as is workforce gender balance (up to 5 points). Tenderers must demonstrate annual turnover of at least €77,520 and comparable work worth at least €54,264. Bids must be submitted electronically in Spanish.
