Creation and performance of a theatre production for the 2027 safe celebrations campaign

Summary

The contract covers the substantial revision, creation, production and performance of a theatre production for the 2027 campaign promoting safe celebrations. The contractor must adapt the show for audiences aged 10–14, create an engaging and participatory performance, and communicate safe fireworks use, fire prevention and responsible celebration messages. The production must also address inclusion and accessibility, the wellbeing of people sensitive to noise, and the protection of companion animals. The recommended running time is approximately 30 minutes. The contract includes 15 touring performances in locations across Catalonia designated by the contracting authority, during May and June 2027, as well as four full rehearsals. It also covers touring scenery, props, costumes, lighting and sound, transport, set-up and dismantling. The contractor must create two approximately one-minute sung or danced pieces and campaign communication materials, including social media content, a poster and infographic, a full recording of the show and a social media video clip. The script and written materials must be in Catalan; the exploitation rights to the completed production must be assigned exclusively to the Directorate General of Civil Protection. Bidders must submit a mandatory technical proposal and obtain at least 60 out of 100 points in the qualitative assessment to proceed to the next stage. The price and additional team experience are also evaluated. The team must include four musical performers, an artistic and dramaturgical director, an artistic and dramaturgical coordinator, a scriptwriter to adapt the text and a scriptwriter to compose the music; each must have at least three years of experience in theatre for young audiences. Economic and technical capacity requirements also apply. The tender budget is €55,243.03 excluding VAT and €66,844.07 including VAT; the contract lasts six months.
