Procurement and maintenance of LCIF and USAR personal protective equipment

Summary

The tender covers the supply of two lots of personal protective equipment and maintenance of protective clothing for Spain’s Military Emergency Unit (UME). For each of 2027 and 2028, the minimum quantities are 175 USAR rescue coveralls and 200 safety boots for collapsed-structure operations, plus 2,600 forest-fire protective clothing sets, 750 pairs of firefighting boots and 3,750 flame-resistant undershirts. Each forest-fire clothing set comprises a jacket and trousers. Maximum unit prices, excluding VAT, are €450, €100, €323, €120 and €30 respectively. The contract also includes maintenance of USAR garments and of forest-fire clothing, including UME-issued garments; approximately 4,000 existing, unused items are estimated. Maintenance includes industrial washing and disinfection, technical inspections and repairs when requested. The bid must demonstrate product compliance through the required EU personal protective equipment certificates, laboratory test reports, manufacturer documents and samples. The bidder must also provide PFAS declarations and be able to arrange collection and return throughout Spain, normally completing work within three calendar days and within 48 hours during a declared emergency.
