Traffic study and transport planning report for the redesign of Brake town centre

Summary

The contract is for a traffic study and transport planning report to support a design competition for the redesign of Brake town centre. The work includes traffic counts at three junctions, surveys of parking use and bicycle traffic, analysis of existing conditions, and a traffic forecast with recommendations. Bicycle surveys will cover Bahnhofstraße, Georgstraße, the Weser cycle route and the pedestrian zone on Breite Straße; parking surveys will include town-centre car parks and on-street spaces. The appointed consultant will also act as a traffic expert in the design competition, carry out a quantitative review of the five competition submissions, and attend the questions meeting and jury session. The report must be finally agreed by mid-February 2027 at the latest. Bids must be submitted electronically by 2 November 2026 at 10:00. Price is the sole award criterion, and the contract will be awarded to the bid with the lowest evaluated total price.
