Neighbourhood management for the WEST district project, 2027–2028

Summary

The tender is for neighbourhood-management services in the districts of Bochold and Altendorf as part of the City of Essen’s WEST district project, from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028. The work includes maintaining a local contact point with at least 12 hours of public access per week on at least three days; communicating urban-development funding measures; involving residents; building networks among local organisations and institutions; organising events and campaigns; and evaluating projects and participation formats and planning how to sustain them. The work will focus on Bochold and also cover Altendorf in cooperation with its district office. The contract must be delivered by two suitably qualified and experienced staff members. The maximum budget for the two-year period is EUR 264,000 including VAT; a lower price offers no competitive advantage. Bids are assessed on quality alone: the concept carries 60% and the project team’s qualifications 40%. Bids must be submitted electronically in German by 2 November 2026 at 14:00. Alternative bids are not permitted.
