Shipyard overhaul of the Elster cable ferry on the Elbe

Summary

Stadt Zahna-Elster is procuring the shipyard overhaul and repair of the Elster cable ferry on the Elbe so that it can obtain a ferry certificate for a further five-year period after inspection. The work includes transporting the ferry to and from the shipyard and arranging the ship inspection; approximately 850 m² of corrosion protection; repair of four hydraulic cylinders; replacement of the battery bank and charger, the main cable and two shear cables; inspection and, if necessary, repair of two winch motors; supply and installation of two cable-ferry winches; repair of two landing flaps; maintenance of two electric barrier systems; inspection of the onboard electrical systems; and inspection of the Hatz engine.
