Upgrade and expansion of the measurement, control and regulation system at the Green IT Cube
Summary
The tender concerns the upgrade and expansion of the Green IT Cube’s measurement, control and regulation automation systems in Darmstadt. The work includes surveying and designing the existing systems, building or modifying control cabinets, replacing the old automation stations with an S7-1500 platform or technically equivalent components, and migrating their functions. A new central master controller must be installed for the open cooling circuits KP06 and KP07, WE06 must be integrated, and the system must be connected to and visualised on the Desigo CC platform. The contractor must supply and install the necessary components and licences, program and test the system, commission it, perform point-to-point tests, route fault alerts to the gatehouse, and hand over the technical documentation and system data. The completion deadline is 31 March 2027. The bid must include the required forms and competence certificates. Staff must be qualified to use TIA Portal with the HVAC library, Desigo CC and Siclimat X; Desigo CC certificates must cover at least operation and monitoring, management functions and administration, engineering, and graphics. Training records must be no more than 3 years old. If a subcontractor is used, it must be identified and its availability confirmed; the bid must also describe the availability of a DDC system technician, programming licences and suitable programming equipment. Professional liability insurance is also required, with minimum cover per claim of EUR 5,000,000 for personal injury, EUR 1,000,000 for property damage, EUR 1,000,000 for financial loss and EUR 500,000 for processing damage. Price is the sole award criterion and accounts for 100% of the total project cost. The bid must be submitted electronically in encrypted form by 3 November 2026 at 11:00. Alternative bids are not permitted.
