Evaluation and impact analysis of the implementation of sustainability requirements

Summary

The tender concerns an evaluation and impact analysis of the implementation of sustainability requirements established under the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and related sustainability regulations. The work is intended to assess how sustainability criteria are applied to renewable electricity generation and biofuel production, and whether the BioKraft-NachV and BioSt-NachV achieve the objectives of the RED. The contractor will need to plan and document an external, ongoing and legally binding evaluation using criteria to be defined. The evaluation plan should build on the concept for a formalised sustainability assessment being developed through the BioNachRED project. Parameters for assessing environmental impacts should take account of the results of the earlier VAU-Bio study. The deadline for submitting tenders is 29 October 2026.
