Compensation and replacement measures for the A14 industrial estate in Wittenberge

Summary

The City of Wittenberge is procuring the provision, creation and long-term management of compensation and replacement sites for the development of an industrial estate along the A14. Lot 1 covers 9 hectares for compensation for soil sealing, 10 hectares for the lapwing and 7 hectares for the skylark; Lot 2 covers 5 hectares for the snipe. The works include converting arable land to extensively managed grassland and creating wet grassland pools, with maintenance and management secured for 30 years.
