Comprehensive support for measuring climate-relevant halogenated trace gases at the Zugspitze GAW station
Summary
The German Environment Agency is procuring specialist support to establish and operate a MEDUSA measurement system at the GAW station on Zugspitze for continuous monitoring of long-lived, climate-relevant halogenated trace gases, particularly CFCs. The work includes support with installation and commissioning, hardware and software configuration to AGAGE standards, calibration and reference standards, the start-up phase, and scientific evaluation of quality-assured data. It also aims to build lasting expertise among station staff; measurement operations remain the Agency’s responsibility.
