Hire of a tanker truck with driver

Summary

Ribeira Grande Municipality is seeking truck-and-driver hire for emptying sewage and sludge tanks, clearing pipe blockages and washing roads. The estimated total is 225 service hours: 60 hours for a combination vehicle with a 3 m³ waste-water tank and 500 litres of clean water, with suction reach up to 25 m; 40 hours for a 4 m³ clean-water vehicle with an 80 m hose, a high-pressure pump and the ability to clear blockages in pipes up to 500 mm; 40 hours each for cesspit-cleaning vehicles with 5 m³ and 6 m³ waste-water tanks, each carrying 1,000 litres of clean water and offering suction reach up to 30 m; 30 hours for a combination vehicle with 4 m³ of waste water and 1,500 litres of clean water, able to clean cesspits at distances up to 40 m and clear blockages in pipes up to 200 mm; and 15 hours for a combination vehicle with 6 m³ of waste water and 2,500 litres of clean water, equipped to clear pipes up to 1,000 mm and suction from up to 150 m away and 15 m deep, depending on conditions. The service also includes opening access covers, removing solid deposits, emptying cesspits, clearing sewer and drain-pit blockages, removing sand, and transporting and properly depositing sludge from wastewater treatment plants. The hours are estimates and do not oblige the authority to order the full quantity. Services will be provided in Ribeira Grande as requested, immediately or within 24 hours at the latest; in exceptional circumstances, requests may include weekends and public holidays. The contract runs until 31 December 2026. The base price is EUR 9,950 excluding VAT, and price is the sole award criterion. Bids must be submitted electronically in Portuguese and include the required declaration, a price offer with unit prices, a service description, and evidence of company registration and signing authority. Within five working days after award notification, the successful tenderer must provide the required documents concerning taxes, social-security contributions, management criminal records and beneficial ownership. Bids must remain valid for 66 days; no tender guarantee is required.
