The procurement covers the construction of groundwater monitoring wells at the approach basins of Wedtlenstedt Lock. Three existing monitoring wells affected by the expansion of the western approach basins are to be replaced nearby, and one additional well is to be built near the lock head, with the option of developing it as an extraction well. The wells will support groundwater monitoring associated with the expansion of the Salzgitter branch canal and water management works near the lock.
