HPC computing cluster

Summary

The procurement covers the supply of a CPU-based high-performance computing (HPC) cluster and central storage system for Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, including installation, configuration and commissioning. The system must support continuous operation and fit into the existing 19-inch server rack. The offer must meet requirements including at least two compute nodes, at least 336 physical CPU cores, at least 1 TB of memory, and two storage tiers: at least 15 TB of high-performance NVMe scratch storage and at least 100 TB of capacity storage. The supplier must connect and configure the cluster and storage, install Slurm for workload management, and provide documentation. A manufacturer’s warranty of at least 36 months, technical support and spare-parts availability during the warranty period are required. All technical minimum requirements must be met. The total price, including all ancillary services, must not exceed €125,000 including VAT, and delivery, installation, commissioning and testing must be completed by 15 December 2026. Technical capability accounts for 60% of the evaluation and price for 40%. The offer must be submitted in German through the Brandenburg procurement portal’s bidder tool, with the required offer, registration and declaration documents.
