Winter maintenance services at the Kurkölnisches Sauerland forestry office and Hohenroth properties
Summary
The procurement covers winter maintenance at two locations: the service building of the Regional Forestry Office Kurkölnisches Sauerland in Olpe and the Hohenroth properties near Netphen. The work includes pushing and clearing snow and gritting roads and parking areas with salt. The contractor must provide suitable machinery and spreading material, including salt, monitor weather conditions independently, and organise the work without waiting for individual instructions. For Lot 1 in Olpe, the contractor must maintain approximately 1,500 m² of mapped areas, including steps. Work must be completed by 6:30 a.m. on working days, with additional work after snowfall when needed. For Lot 2 in Hohenroth, routine service is required from 5 cm of snowfall across approximately 3,700 m² of access roads and parking areas. The estimated workload is 110 hours and about 15 visits per year. From 15 cm of snowfall, the contractor must also clear, at the contracting authority’s request, an approximately 10,000 m² walking trail and a 1,400 m² woodland car park; the estimated workload is 30 hours and about five visits per year. These quantities are estimates and are not guaranteed orders. In Hohenroth, the usual response time must be less than two hours after snowfall ends, Monday to Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., including public holidays. The framework agreement is expected to start on 1 November 2026, with an initial term ending on 31 October 2027. It may be extended one year at a time up to a total term of six years, ending on 31 October 2032. Bids may cover either or both lots, and price is the sole award criterion for each lot. Bids must be submitted electronically in German using the prescribed price sheets. Prices must be stated net per square metre for clearing and gritting, separately by service and surface type, together with a monthly availability charge. The mandatory documents are the offer letter, declarations on exclusion grounds and minimum-wage compliance, the relevant lot price sheet, and proof of business liability insurance. Alternative offers are not allowed, and a site visit is strongly recommended. The bid deadline is 20 October 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
