Contract for operation of Banedanmark’s sleeper factory

Summary

Banedanmark is procuring the day-to-day operation of its sleeper factory in Fredericia under a single contract. The operator will use the factory’s production equipment to manufacture and deliver prestressed-concrete railway track sleepers and switch sleepers, including sleepers for special track structures, and will support production quality assurance and collection and loading of finished products. Operations are expected to transfer on 1 January 2028; the estimated contract value is DKK 560 million, with an ordinary term of 48 months and options for two 24-month extensions.
