Collection of waste paper

Summary

The Municipality of Nyköping is procuring waste-paper collection and handling services under a framework agreement with one service provider. The services cover collection, transport, sorting, storage, acceptance and sale or other transfer of waste paper from recycling stations, apartment buildings, other shared facilities and municipal operations. The contract also covers accepting paper collected by the municipality itself through four-compartment bins and delivered to the transfer station at the Björshult waste facility. Collection using four-compartment bins is not part of this procurement. The municipality collected 214 tonnes of waste paper in 2025. From September 2026, it will begin collecting some of this material itself, and the quantities collected mainly at recycling stations are therefore expected to decrease. The contract period runs from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2030, with up to two possible extensions. The deadline for tenders is 4 November 2026. Tenders must be submitted electronically and remain valid for three months; electronic invoicing is required during contract performance.
