Jahrtausendturm “to go” digital project – Progressive Web App and content management system

Summary

The tender concerns the development, implementation, commissioning and multi-year operation of a digital museum application for the Jahrtausendturm in Elbauenpark Magdeburg. The solution must include a Progressive Web App and a content management system for managing all content. It must work without installation on Android and iOS devices and in HTML5-compatible browsers on at least Windows, macOS and Linux. Required capabilities include multilingual content, 360-degree panoramas, tours, audio, video, text and image content, QR-code access to exhibits, quizzes, social sharing, feedback, easy-language content and screen-reader support. The project must address sustainability, long-term operability, data control, GDPR compliance, digital accessibility, software modifiability, technical documentation and continuity in the event of the contractor’s disruption or failure.
