Construction of water-supply connections and network extensions in Loures and Odivelas

Summary

The contract covers the construction of water-supply service connections and extensions to the water network in the municipalities of Loures and Odivelas. The works include installing PEAD PN 10 pipes in open trenches, constructing service connections up to 6 m long, excavation, installing valves and fittings, testing and disinfecting pipes, and reinstating road surfaces, pavements, landscaping and traffic arrangements. The estimated quantities are 600 service connections, 450 m of network extensions and approximately 2,688 m² of road-surface reinstatement. The works must be completed within 24 months or by the time the contract’s total value is reached. The contracting authority may issue up to 50 connections for completion per month, and the contractor must complete at least 90% of those issued. The estimated contract value is EUR 660,026 excluding VAT, and price is the sole award criterion. The bid must include prices, price justification, a work schedule and an equipment plan. Appropriate public-works licences, a qualified works director and a safety technician with at least two years’ experience on similar works are required. The performance guarantee is 5% of the contract price excluding VAT; variant bids are not permitted.
