Tender for CSA Sterilizers

Summary

Erasmus MC is procuring four new high-temperature steam sterilizers for its central sterilization department in Rotterdam, replacing four of its six operational units. The contract covers supply, dismantling and removal of the existing equipment, installation, commissioning, technical handover, validation, and staff training. The equipment, integrated maintenance, and technical support are required for eight years. The sterilizers must be suitable for sterilizing reusable medical devices. Key technical requirements include capacity for at least 12 instrument trays, achievement of sterility at SAL 10⁻⁶, a dry load after the cycle, and an expected process time of no more than 85 minutes. The equipment must include, among other things, a double-door pass-through system, automatic unloading, and the specified sterilization programmes. The sterilizers and steam generators must meet the relevant NEN-EN 285 and GAMP 5 requirements. The maintenance plan must provide 98% uptime. The procurement is a single, indivisible lot and variants are not permitted. Tenders must be submitted electronically by 19 November 2026 at 09:00. The submission must include a signed covering letter, completed requirements and wishes schedules, the European Single Procurement Document, the price schedule, a delivery and implementation plan, an ergonomics description, and a maintenance plan. The tender and correspondence must be in Dutch or accompanied by a Dutch translation. The award is based on the most economically advantageous tender: price carries up to 250 points and quality up to 750 points. Price is assessed on total cost of ownership, combining the one-off investment for four sterilizers with eight years of maintenance and service.
