Insurance of Jūrmala Municipal Property

Summary

The tender is for 12 months of insurance for Jūrmala municipal property: the listed buildings and premises, their movable contents, site improvements and environmental objects, as well as the required museum collections and objects on loan. The total insured amount for approximately 74,000 museum objects is EUR 1,704,000. Bidders may also offer cover for the Jūrmala Open-Air Museum complex, comprising 19 buildings and property with a total insured amount of EUR 1,635,044. Cover must include, among other risks, fire, lightning, explosion, natural hazards, pipe leaks, theft, robbery, vandalism, vehicle impact and electrical damage. The limit for rescue expenses is EUR 500,000 for the entire contract period, and the standard deductible is EUR 50,000 per claim. Bidders may offer additional cover, including riots and terrorism and conflict risks with a minimum sublimit of EUR 250,000, heavy rainfall, and all-risks cover. Bids are evaluated on price and the optional cover offered: price is worth up to 75 points, with the remaining points awarded for additional cover. The total contract price must not exceed EUR 41,999 excluding VAT. Bidders must hold the required insurance authorisations and have completed at least one qualifying contract for insurance of real estate and its contents. The bid must be submitted electronically by 19 October 2026 at 12:00. The successful bidder pays the insurance broker’s fee, equal to 17% of the insurance premium and capped at EUR 2,000 excluding VAT for the whole contract.
