Restoration of the Flandres Lock Gates During the 2027 Maintenance Closure

Summary

Voies navigables de France is procuring restoration works for the gates of the Flandres lock in Arques. The main tranche covers restoration of the upstream gate; the optional second tranche covers dewatering the lock, removing the downstream gate and installing the restored gate. The works include repairs to the gate structures and mechanisms, corrosion protection and seals, as well as hydraulic works, installation and testing. The contract runs for 24 months, with the planned lock closure from 14 June to 4 July 2027.
