Meal service for people detained at Nice Prison
Summary
The contract covers the preparation and cold-chain delivery of lunch and dinner meals for people detained at Nice Prison. Each meal consists of a protein-based main dish with a vegetable or starch side; breakfast, bread, starters and desserts are outside the scope. Orders may include meals for medical or religious dietary requirements and other specific groups. The estimated volume is 260,000 food-days over 12 months, with each food-day comprising lunch and dinner. This is a single-supplier framework agreement with an annual minimum value of EUR 800,000 and a maximum value of EUR 2,800,000 excluding VAT. The initial term is 12 months from 9 November 2026, with one possible 12-month extension. The contractor must provide varied, seasonal menus and ensure food safety, the cold chain and product traceability. Menus must accommodate medical and religious dietary requirements, include a daily plant-protein option, and meet the required proportions of sustainable, quality and organic products. The contract also requires at least 300 hours of work placements for school pupils. Tenders must be submitted electronically by 9:00 a.m. on 12 October 2026. Tenders will be evaluated on price (35%), technical quality (35%), supply security (15%) and environmental performance (15%).
